My first ever experience in watching a Telugu movie… Well, to be frank I kinda liked it…… It was more like watching our Dear Vijay’s Movie combined with little bit of Jayem Ravi…. Guess very soon someone will do this flick in Tamil…..

The story goes like this ….. Jr.NTR [Krishna but wants everyone to call him Krish] who is the only son of a wealthy businessman has practically no worries or whatsoever and is always ready to help his friends [especially in love] and here comes the HERO intro as to fighting with the goons [dramatical fight – not setting foot on the ground  - throughout] and saving the couple.. Now he has a love interest in Samantha who is an engineering student [looks pretty].. She asks him to help her friend and asking him to act as the Boyfriend.. And now this friend is our Kajal…. Can you now smell a Triangle??? Hmmmm… good…. Now Krish accepts it for the sake of his real girlfriend and goes to the Village to meet the family of Kajal… NOW you might wonder how the title matches with the movie… Well, you see.. the very name of this BIG house in village is “Brindhavanam” – Vwah la!!!!!!  So again the story goes like how the hero brings happiness and self – respect to the Uncles & Aunty’s in the fly while taking all the brilliant [!!!] efforts to bring the separated step brothers – our own sweet Prakashraj & Srihari garu [he he he he typical telugu calling].. Because of this everyone becomes ONE family meanwhile Kajal becomes attracted towards Krish… So now there should be a twist in the story.. which comes right here… that is., Krish’s real girl frnd Samantha is the daughter of Srihari… actually I as well as the hero don’t understand how come both the sisters never knew their relationship at all…. [big logic hole!! Hmm] After the whole drama, both the girls wants to give Krish away to the other girl… News reaches the Big personalities of the fly [courtesy – a bad potato in the family who likes Kajal a lot and cannot stand Krish being together with her!!!] and – no no no they don’t fight again.. in this case they actually join together in hitting the hero and throwing him out of the house…. The grandfather of the house [Kotta Srinivasa rao] steps in and narrates all the good things that the hero has done so that the family accepts him… but practically leave us clueless with which girl will he get married too…..

Jr.NTR : Krish – He looks a lot trim & handsome and dances very well….. He can practice “Heroism” with perfection with the only exception of his lipstick/gloss been easily noticeable [chuckle…..] He suits the character pretty well as a rich fella… Mannerisms are good and the expressions are pretty ok….

Costumes are really nice [heard that in telugu would be very bright – must be in the old movies…] he looks very fashionable and gives justice as to why he has quite a lot of female fans….. Ofcourse there are big logic holes staring at us with the Fighting scenes, but its ok…. The way he gets attracted to the character “Bhoomi” – Kajal and then confused with her and Samantha, fights for Bhoomi with the “Murai maaman” idiot, last scene where he kinda gives us the suggestive look as to which one of the girls could he select or as per his character’s name getting along with both the girls etc., Humour too comes with him hand in hand…. Well, So far so good…

Samantha & Kajal – Both are Glamour quotients of this movie and Kajal is seen more than Samantha here… Since the story kinda starts off with Kajal, she plays a role where she has to emote a lot…. Especially where she runs back and hugs Krish and telling him that she would miss him [this happens after they have an engagement], the confused look as to whether she has to literally leave of Krish in Samantha’s hands again… I wanted to say “typical village” look but I ate my words coz I don’t think any village girl would be like this dressed heavily and fashionably!!!! Samantha has very little in this movie.. she just gives the cute looks to the hero and dresses modernly, dances glamorously and … dats it… Samantha, kindly go learn what acting is…it might help you further in your movie career … mind girl, only looks will mostly throw you in as a second heroine [Rmbr namitha, mumtaz etc.,?]

Prakashraj, Srihari, Kotta srinivasa rao, Venu Madhav, Brahmanandam: I kinda remember only these ppl coz their experience shows very well in this… They have been show casted very well and suit their character aptly!!! Though I cant catch up with many BEEEEGG dialogues [FYI, I am a starter in telugu!!] their expressions, I guess, was more than enough….. Especially Venu Madhav & Brahmanandam was too hilarious…. Venu gets caught in the “candid camera” with the other lady and the way he calls “Annaya” and sweetly gets hit by both Prakashraj & Srihari – WOW… Now Brahmanandam [comes as Krish’s “acting” father] – he keeps telling “I am doing the role of Bommarilu father” and he tries to be strict with Krish and then how he is beaten away by Krish is entirely funny……

Eventhough I cant understand the lyrics the music is pretty captivating hence songs are nice and can be expected in Tamil… Sets are good… the very House is a really cool one with the river on oneside & field, hills on the otherside…. The interiors are equally cool – with blue and green all over!!! We can see lots of mosquitoes & Flies happily buzzing away through the house during the night shoots thou!!!!

LOGIC HOLES :

  1. Hero’s are supposed to be sticking to their Gal friends and are not expected to fall for the GF’s Friends.. You should have noticed our Hero’s eyes popping out of its sockets when he sees the soft Kajal… [we can imagine how the story goes there itself!!!]

  2. Both the girls are so very close friends and don’t they even know about their native and family??? Isnt it a BASIC RULE # 2 to know about our Friend’s fly, native etc.,??? I just cant imagine how they can actually be SURPRISED to know that they are cousins…. Ahem – NOPE

  3. Both brothers are fighting cocks here to the level that because of them both the villages are rivals.. and one fine day when prakashraj goes to srihari’s house they just forget their years long conflict and get united….. “Flowersuuu on earsuuuuu

  4. I don’t understand how come a hero is always a superman with all the qualities combined?? He can fight professional goons [15 of them together] without even being scratched a little!!!! Also, in the scene where he grabs the Villain from his Jeep – right from the driver seat.. OMG….. I just wanted to scream with laughter – which I actually did and gained weird looks from fellow viewers!!!! Hey come on, it was hilarious wht else can a poor girl like me do … hmmmm [support me , na]

  5. The father of the hero is a BIG business person and doesn’t he even has a second thought of his boy going for a world tour, dat to overnight decided… Rmbr, his sweet little boy is not WORKING… so he is supposed to use the Card or the Account of which I guess surely the “Businessman” should really have a track off…. Wont he know dat its not being used at all???? DUMB,huh

  6. Hero manages to dress perfectly matching including the laces in his shoes….. even in fight scenes he looks totally made up.. something which doesn’t suit the character of the movie, but only the “Hero” that is Jr.NTR… Ironic!!!

Well, the list might go on and on … but the movie IS GOOD and quite delightful to watch… Trust me, you don’t need to know perfect telugu to enjoy this movie including its humor ….. I find the first half of the movie pretty dragging while the second part is entertaining.- which completely clashes with my friend’s view.. he prefers the vice versa [hey, he knows telugu … might be he is politically correct!!]

OK.. Bottom line is : a very nice family entertainer and pretty clean too…

I am sorry to have deprived you of the dialogues coz…. I aint good with telugu…. Might be next time I would do this with justice… Trust me!!!
