Priyamani shares the screen space with 'Jagapathi Babu' for the second time in 'Pravarkyudu'

Brahmanandam plays the college lecturer role and Ali appears as African Tribesman. The  comedy track manages to make you laugh. Chalapathi Rao, Rajyalakshmi & Dharmavarapu also share the screen space

The story is about the love and hate relationship, which the lead casts share during their college days. Priyamani & Jagapathi Babu gets separated and meet after 10 years. Will they be married forms the rest of the story.

Priyamani plays the role of 'Sailaja' who looks ravishingly beautiful and is wooed by most of the college students and Jagapathi Babu plays the role of 'Sasi' who just laught over the beauty of 'Sailaja'

As the days goes on 'Sailaja' express her love to 'Sasi' who gives no importance to her love feeling but agrees to marry her and makes it clear that he doesn`t believe in love. Sailaja gets irritated with his behaviour and take their separate ways to go ahead with the life.

After 10 years life brings them again together. Sasi comes to India in search of a suitable girl to get married but feels that  'Sailaja' is still in his heart. He enquires about her and comes to know that she is still unmarried and working as a principal in a collage. Sasi makes up his mind, that he should put in all efforts to impress her and get married to her at any cost.

Sasi joins as a lecturer in the same collage and plays all the pranks and charms to impress her.

'Pravarkyudu' bangs the screen, with no new concept as such, but the ravishing beauty 'Priyamani & interesting screenplay' keeps you hooked to the seat for a couple of hours

Saw “Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja” after a long await in Dubai! What a disgrace! An over done film in all disciplines. 
Subtlety is an unheard idea in this film. The much cerebrated Rasool Pookooty has followed the same path of doing things over the top. If he thinks great sound mixing is giving corresponding loud sound to all actions shown in screen, he is certainly wrong. We are forced to think that, he won the Academy award in a fluke, or rephrase it as “won as a part of film which won a lot of awards”.

The stunt choreography is the worst you can expect from a historical film. Copying the stunts from “Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon” and failing is such a disgrace.

The climax shows “Pazhassi” killing one enemy in almost the same way Achilles (Brad Pitt) kills the giant Boagrius in the 2004 Hollywood film “Troy”.

I am sure no one would have complained if the force of gravity was applicable to the characters in “Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja”!

The only thing which haunts from the film is the power packed and steaming performance by “Edachena Kungan Nair” (Sharath Kumar).

The stubborn nature of Padmapriya would have forced the director to let her give voice for the film which has ended up in a non existent Malayalam accent.

A film which spends millions needs to have descent make-up. The beard of “Thalakkal Chandu” looks like one from a School Drama. The hair extensions given are so amateurish. It should be noted that the Malayalam film “Rajashilpi” (1992) had very high standard hair extensions.

The English men of the East India Trading Co. are shown as Whisky drinking, conspiracy loving stereotypical idiots. Any English men would be disturbed by the silly visualization of the life of English men in later part of 18^th Century , just like we Indians feel bad when certain Hollywood flicks shows Indian as snake charmers or people who sits in front of “Taj Mahal” and await the incineration from attacking aliens.

It is also certain that a Character of “Dora” (Linda Arsenio a Hispanic-Yugoslavian who from any angle does not look like an English lady) is fictious a character and it’s a cheap attempt to satisfy the Indian nationalism.

The characters depicted by Jagathi Sreekumar and Jagadish are right out of comic book and could have been made more subtler.

It is a known fact that Pazhassi Raja killed himself by swallowing diamond from his ring when he was surrounded by the East India company soldiers. M.T. Has once again twisted the story (like previous Vadakkan Veera Gatha and Perumthachan) and this time has failed miserably, as the characters in question are historical figures who lived mere 200 years ago.

The music by Ilayaraja is wasted due to obvious reasons; as the songs are only added to increase the selling value of the film.

The role of the director Hariharan in this film is very ambiguous. The film is totally made by the stunt choreographer and Director of Photography.

 The controversy behind not including this film in Indian Panorama in Goa film festival is better left without discussion.

The soul of greatest Malayali hero (The word India or Kerala cannot be used as he never knew that a country named “India” would have born in 1947 or state Kerala would be formed in 1956) Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja will never spare any one behind this disaster film.

 Mohan Babu`s homoe production 'Saleem' features Vishnu, Illeana, Mohan Babu, Kaveri Jha, Jaya Prakash Reddy, Tanikella Bharani, Hema, M.S.Narayana, Ali, Raghubabu in the lead cast.

Ileana plays the role of 'Satyawati' the daughter of 'Singamanaidu' (Napolean) a respectable villager. She comes to village to spend her vacation with all lovable relatives, as we have seen in many block bluster movies like 'Murari, Ninne Pelladatha, Athadu, Santhosham etc. This movie doesn`t add any new star in the movies history, but repeats the old screenplay of presentation.

Vishnu plays the role of 'Munna' a repeated character name of many telugu movies, who joins this lovable family as an orphan.

Mohan Babu who has been appearing in cameo roles in many movies in the recent past, has picked up an insignificant role in his home production 'Saleem' which doesn`t suit his legendary image of the Tollywood, running behind the trees romancing with 'Kaveri Jha' a school teacher is an insult to all the teachers. He plays the role of Don which doesn`t sink with the movie plot at all.

Ali a dance master enters the Napolean`s household to teach dance and trying hard to make the audience to laugh, but fails.

Movie Plot: Noting much to say as such, but the three cartoons of the movie, who play the lead roles say 'Munna' happens to be  'Saleem' giving a twist to the story wanting the heroine Ileana (Satyavathi) to fall in love with him. He settles down as an important member in the family as 'Purushotham' and wins everyone`s heart in the family. As any other Tollywood hero 'Munna's heart is filled with the love & affection of the family members that he decides not to stir the happiness of the family and explains 'Ileana' to 'close the windows' of the heart & forget his love. On her part 'Ileana' says that she has been attracted to him, but the end gives another twist saying, about  her love with 'Krish' her Bangkok based lover. Ali a skimpy character joins the family to stab the comedy but fails drastically to make the audience laugh.

What happens at the end ? If you are still keen to know, watch it in theatres

'Saleem' technically sound, but weak in many aspects like senseless screenplay, rotten comedy and over exposing of heroines  doesn`t meet the expecatation level of the audience

'Saleem' a dissappointing movie and another dud to join the que of last week releases at the box office
